This project focuses on the adjustment of nature and intensity of land development surrounding Xiamen Rail Transit Line 1 and proposes the integrated development plan above and underground around the station. The total affected area is 53.74 square kilometers, of which 19.58 square kilometers are within island, 36.16 square kilometers are outside the island. Through systematic analysis and combing of Xiamen city structure and population, industry, land use, transport facilities, municipal facilities and other aspects along Rail Transit Line 1, this plan makes systematic study of comprehensive development of underground and aboveground land along the line from the perspective of social and economic benefits of comprehensive development of city, aims to achieve the goals in eight aspects, including optimizing rail line position and stations; improving transport facilities, strengthening transport convergence; optimizing industrial structure, adjusting industrial layout; adjusting functional structure of land along the line, adjusting development intensity of land along the line, optimizing land use; providing design conditions for the comprehensive development of rail transportation; exploiting land value to provide a basis for the rail transit investment and financing programs; promoting integrated development within and outside island; providing basis for planning and management.
