Shierli River is located in Nanyang City, Henan Province and divided into the north and south area by Wuhou Road. The north area mainly includes agricultural and forestry lands and village construction lands and the south area mainly includes agricultural and forestry lands, village construction lands and education and scientific research lands. The total area is about 6.61 square kilometers and the river length is about 12.28 km. Shierli River adopts Nanyang Science Sage Zhang Heng as the theme figure, cultural education as the theme culture and “Science and Education River” as the theme orientation. It integrates Zhang Heng’s life story into landscapes to form the Shuizhuhunyi, Zhichuangshuipan, Sixuemingyuan, Keshengshuian and Tansuohuayuan area, sets up innovative landscape nodes reflecting the scientific and educational enlightenment and integrally builds a beautiful science and education river.
