The planning area is located at the southeast corner of Kaifeng, with the area of planning scope being 92.96 hectares and the area of research scope being 65.90 hectares. The planning principle is based on the active protection of cultural relics, ecological forestland conservation and efficient land utilization to form such a spatial structure as of “three-axis, two-belt, five-center and seven-region”. The planning highlights the unique features to form such three spatial axes as of classical Pyankung axis, Kaifeng impression axis and new town travel axis. It is designed to create such an urban saloon of strong cultural ambience, magnificent spatial structure, graceful ecological environment and pleasant living atmosphere as dominated by the urban leisure, ecological health maintenance and tourism resort function and integrated with the functions of commerce, shopping and residence.
